1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible

This was not a restoration, but more of a repair job. These cars are a thing of beauty when all of the electronics function properly and a nightmare when they don't. When the car came to us the convertible top was down and the only way to get it back up was to unbolt the trunk latches and use jumper wires to toggle the relays and take it step by step through all of the sequences to get it up and latched.

 

Finally after many hours of troubleshooting, straightening out things messed up by others as well as things which diminished through the course of time, we were able to make everything function as it should. Some of the things we brought back to life include: engine, A/C, windshield washers, power windows, power top, power trunk lid, Automatic function of the rear windows, cranking, and much more.

 

The current plan is for the owners to enjoy the car and drive it around. Then bring it back in for additional repairs and some cosmetic work.
