Here are the final
shots of the 69 GTO. The owner plans to finish the car himself because the
things that are left are not hard, just simple things like the interior,
trim and other misc odds and ends.
This car has come
a long way from when it arrived here.
Since that time we have
disassembled the entire car,
repaired the rust, installed the complete driveline from a
2006 GTO (LS2 & 6-
speed), reworked the interior to house the A/C unit along with the entire
dash, console and seats, additional mechanical items include the stopping
power courtesy of the 06 GTO by way of
4 wheel disk brakes and mast
cylinder, clutch cylinder, wiper motor, pedals, steering column , gauges,
power windows, and more. But that's not all.... we replaced the main section
of the floor pan with the one
from the 2006 car and tied it in to the existing 69 frame and made the whole
car a uni-body which will dramatically improve handling and body flex. The
list goes on and on.... the only way to be sure and know everything that we
did is to follow through the steps here.
